Interesting facts…

  • The “Saint John River” is a name given to our river by the English colonists. It was known as the Wulustuk  by the original inhabitants (our Ancestors) which translated means The Beautiful River.  We are the people of the beautiful river, the Wulustukwiak.
  • Woodstock First Nation was the second site for this Band of Maliseet people.
  • The first site was downriver near the community of Meductic.
