During the next year all after hours calls are to be directed to the after hours number: 1-800-442-9799 Please use this number if you require any social worker assistance after regular hours. This will ensure you are put in touch with the worker on call.

AFTER HOURS-ON CALL - Our after hours on-call service is available during the evening and on weekends only in crisis or Emergency Situations, with CHILD PROTECTION being the Priority.  (It is not for "I didn't get into the office today...)

Please remember that if it is not an emergency the situation can and will be handled during regular work hours.

AFTER HOURS EMERGENCY SERVICE (AHESS) is provided to the entire province.  This service was established so calls could be screened for CHILD PROTECTION EMERGENCIES ONLY.  All calls are recorded as to time received, information given, and times the on-call social worker had been contacted and the information relayed.  You can call this AHESS number at 1-800-442-9799.
